Valentine's Celebration - One Single Rose

Taberna del Alabardero is the Washington flagship of a Madrid-based restaurant. It is Washington's most formal and well-established Spanish restaurant. It's formal, but not snooty. In fact, it's quite causal, but very classy. The menu, made up of contemporary treatments of Spanish dishes, is superb and the wine list outstanding (especially with regard to Spanish wines). Valentine's Day evening found us attending dinner at Taberna: dinner with a wine pairing and one lone rose on the table.
